Big decision of the Ministry of Transport: Now learners will get driving license online, can renew at home

The Ministry of Transport has launched the National Register on March 31, 2021 with the aim of curbing duplicate driving licenses.  Any change in driving license on the National Register will be done online.

Which will curb duplication.  In addition, a separate list of "dangerous drivers" will be prepared here.  The names of such drivers will be made public.

Every year, about 1.5 lakh people in our country die in road accidents.  There are thousands of such cases in which an accident is caused due to a driver's defect.  Currently, complete information about the state driving license is available on the SARATHI portal of the National Notification Center.

Now after the launch of the National Register, the old DL data available on SARATHI will be migrated to it in the next few months.  In addition, the Ministry of Transport has decided to know the list of drivers whose licenses have been revoked or who have made a big mistake.

National Register launched
According to a report, the Ministry of Transport has prepared the National Register by combining the complete information of driving licenses and registration certificates of different states.  It allows any user to get information about their work at any time.
